When we created this foundation in memory of Daniel, it was never about simply putting a name on a page. It was about creating something that could carry forward the energy, passion, and love Daniel brought into the lives of everyone around him. As a family, we wanted to find a way to turn grief into something meaningful, something that could continue making an impact long after the hardest days.
Daniel loved sports, especially MMA. He loved the discipline (well, sometimes), the resilience, the confidence, and the sense of purpose that came from fully investing yourself in something you love. Whether it was athletics, fitness, competition, or simply finding a place to belong, he believed in showing up wholeheartedly and giving your all. He lived by the verse, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13, And he truly did. Through this foundation, we hope to bring life to that same spirit and faith. This foundation was created to honor that.
Through sponsoring children and young athletes in the activities they are passionate about, we hope to provide opportunities, encouragement, and support that empower them to pursue their dreams. We know firsthand how important it is for young people to have an outlet, a place where they can build confidence, learn discipline, create friendships, and discover who they are. Sometimes, all it takes is one person believing in you to change everything, and that is what we hope this foundation can be.
For our family, keeping Daniel’s memory alive means more than simply remembering him. It means continuing the goofy, fun-loving, courageous, and dedicated spirit that we will always carry with us. We want this foundation to reflect the things he cared about most: perseverance, passion, strength, resilience, and heart.
This is only the beginning for us. We are incredibly grateful for every person who supports this mission, follows along, shares our story, or contributes in any way. Every act of support helps us continue honoring Daniel while creating opportunities for others to chase their own dreams.

This is a beautiful tribute to Daniel and to those who are grieving this tragic death. Grief is impossible to fully explain. Emily, as someone who has experienced the loss of a sibling, I commend you for establishing this beautiful foundation and blog. Your work is a meaningful tribute and a source of comfort. I love you ❤️
